Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) is the professional organization that mostly helped NPB during their visit to the IBAF booth at SportAccord (Di Luca prod)the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) to organize and promote the presence of baseball at the tenth SportAccord Convention.

In response to the call of The Association for Friends of African Baseball (AFAB), a non-profit organization certified by the Japanese Government, Baseball Federation of Japan and its affiliates as well as many individuals in Japan are sending donations of baseball equipment to AFAB in Tokyo who will send them to Tanzania in June, 2012.

Japan, Chinese Taipei, India, Korea, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Thailand will play at the 7th BFA 15U Championship at Barabati Stadium Cuttack, from November 5 to 11, 2012 by invitation of Amateur Baseball Federation of India.

Kyoto; An all-star team of the Japanese women’s professional league, by breaking off their season, took on the amateur National Team for two exhibition games in Kyoto on April 21 and won both matches 6-1 and 9-0.

Japanese High School Baseball Federation announced that the 94th National Championship will be held at Koshien Stadium for 15 days from August 8, 2012. The final game on August 22, weather permitting, will start from 10:30 am instead in the afternoon until 2 years ago, not to affect already tight electric power supply in summer by additional huge power consumption of TV viewers throughout Japan.

Korean Professional Baseball Players Association(KPBPA) and Retired Korean Professional Players Union named “Ilgoo-Hoe” start a business for development of baseball together. The two groups set the dissemination of baseball in Asia as the top priority for the international exchange plan.

Today (April 4, 2012), Hana Bank has made an agreement with the Baseball Federation of Asia(BFA) and Vietnam to provide a sum of about US$ 180,000 in order to construct a baseball stadium in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
